Our precious help-yourself edible bed would not be looking in the slightest bit green without the water so kindly supplied by the pub. We are very grateful – as are the hundreds of bees currently on the mint and late oregano flowers. In this hot weather it has kept alive French green beans, small courgettes and perpetual spinach, as well as chives, rosemary, hyssop, lemon balm, all in good condition in this heat. Many thanks to this wonderful 15th century pub, which also sells great beer and pub grub!
